Infectious disease experts have suggested that increased social distancing and hygiene measures brought on by COVID-19 last year, may lead to many Australians not feeling a need to book a winter flu shot.
Professor Terry Nolan head of vaccine and immunisation research at University of Melbourne, has suggested that given the pattern over recent years, of low rates of influenza cases in one year followed by high cases the following year, it is possible that the pattern could continue and we may see a rebound flu season in 2021.
A very efficient and cost-effective way to protect yourself and your home from the influenza viruses, is to utilise a germicidal UV-C lamp that has been proven to kill 99.9% of bacteria, airborne contaminants and viruses ( including coronaviruses and influenza) without using harmful sprays and chemicals.
Easy to move around the house, vehicle or office, the lamp can be utilised by placing it an area, selecting the sterilisation time and exiting. When the timing is complete, the area is cleaned of the airborne pathogens, leaving a healthy environment for you and your family. See more details on our Products page.
